SPASTN has its own Orthotics department which fabricates special aids for children with disabilities. These aids are custom-made for each individual and are supplied free of cost.

These include: aids for reading, writing, eating, dressing, different seating positions, wheelchairs, different types of walkers, canes, gaiters and simple playground equipment.

SPASTN also encourages and trains in the making of simple replicas of special aids and appliances made with low cost material like Paper, Flour, Clay and Mud - Appropriate Paper Technology [APT].
